- October 2011: Union Bank Nigeria (UBN), Lagos Nigeria, has selected AcumenNet, to manage its treasury operations. AcumenNet will be used for the deal capture, position monitoring, limit checking and risk evaluation of FX, Money market and Bond deals. When it goes Live, UBN will be the first Login client to use exclusively AcumenNet, the web based version of Acumen. To ensure complete STP, AcumenNet will be integrated with Reuters web trading and OFSS Flexcube Back Office systems. AcumenNet will go live beginning of 2012.
- September 2011: Intesa San Paolo Bank Albania (ISPBA) has gone live on Acumen release 7.65 in its head office in Tirana. Acumen is used as a Treasury Management System to cover front office and risk management requirements. All types of deals are managed, including Money Market deals, FX and securities. Straight-through processing has been set-up to allow deals to flow directly to Oracle Flexcube, ISPBA's back office and core-banking system. The integrated and scalable front-to-back office solution helps ISPBA automate deal flows to reduce operational risk and ease reporting.
- August 2011: ACUMEN release 7.70 is now available for use by clients. It is available as usual under Sybase, Oracle and Microsoft SQL environments. It includes as main features the first phase of the development of islamic deals, a complete management of portfolio limits making it easy to follow daylight limits, stop/loss limits, position limits, etc, and also a nice feature to check the changes of a single field of the database, allowing for example to view only rating information changes on the "Counterparty" table. It is running in production in Helsinki and in two African sites, and another client in Finland will go live soon. Click on the link on the home page to read more about the new release.
- July 2011: CHASE BANK, Nairobi, Kenya has gone live on Acumen. This is another site where LOGIN-Acumen and OFSS-Flexcube are used alongside, with multiple interfaces guaranteeing an integrated straight through processing. Acumen, operated by twelve users, performs all front office and risk functions required by CHASE BANK to automate its treasury operations.
- June 2011: Login has worked with Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) Helsinki, to implement ProtoColl, the collateral management solution from Omgeo. Interfaces between Acumen and ProtoColl have been designed to maximize straight through processing, and ease the collateral valuation process. Static data, rates, deals and valuations are extracted from Acumen and sent to Protocoll which in return sends collateral deals. The excellent co-operation & collaboration in the project delivery team allowed to maximise efficiency and implement the solution in less than 3 months.
- May 2011: Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO, Lusaka, Zambia) has gone live on Acumen release 7.70. The solution helps the bank manage its treasury and sales Forex and Money market operations, on a single platform. It also helps Zanaco increase operational efficiency, STP and reporting. Using an integrated and scalable front-to-back office solution (thanks to a powerfull integration to OFFS-Flexcube for the Back office part) for cash, liquidity and forex management helps banks, like Zanaco, achieve higher levels of automation and lower transaction costs.

Acumen will be running along with Oracle FSS Flexcube system, currently used at ISPBA for its back office and core-banking facilities.
- February 2011: Intercontinental Bank Ghana (IBG) has successfully implemented Login-Acumen as its Treasury Management System. Acumen is used by IBG to handle the front office and risk management parts of FX and MM deals. The bank uses Acumen in its headquarters in Accra. Acumen is interfaced STP with OFFS-Flexcube, implemented by our local partner FASYL.
- January 2011: Implementation of Acumen has started for CHASE BANK, Nairobi, Kenya. Acumen will cover their full treasury front office requirements for FX, MM and securities. Islamic deals management will also be integrated in a two step phase for this new client. On this project, LOGIN consultants are working alongside consultants from BFSI Consulting, an Indian company focused in supporting Flexcube, which will handle the back office part of operations. Go live is planned before the summer.
- October 2010: Implementation of Acumen has started for Intercontinental Bank in Accra, Ghana. Acumen of LOGIN and Flexcube of OFSS will be used STP, for FX, MM and securities. On this project, LOGIN consultants are working alongside consultants from FASYL (LOGIN already cooperates with FASYL on the Skye Bank implementation in Nigeria). Acumen will fully cover their treasury front office requirements, while Flexcube will handle the back office part of operations. Go live is planned beginning of 2011.
- September 2010: LOGIN participated in an important project run by a German bank to create an "AIDA" structure, i.e. a bank set-up to store risky or low value assets of all types. An independant database has been created, and selected deals (bonds, swaps, options) transferred to the new structure. For this purpose, a lot of consulting services have been provided by LOGIN to the client.
- August 2010: Fasyl Technology Group which is headquartered in Lagos was chosen by LOGIN SA in July 2010 as its implementation partner for West Africa. Fasyl has an active business in Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. Fasyl will provide valuable assistance to implement Acumen in partnership with us in this part of Africa. Two projects are underway right now in Nigeria and Ghana. Fasyl is also the regional distributor of OFSS' Flexcube UBS, for many years.
- July 2010: Implementation of Acumen has started for ZANACO in Lusaka, Zambia. Acumen will be used for the treasury operations (FX/MM), securities and order management. Acumen will handle the front office and risk management, with STP to Flexcube. Go live is planned last quarter of 2010.
- June 2010: ACUMEN release 7.60 is now available for use by clients. This new release contains mainly the complete management of open maturity MM and repo deals, and several security features to satisfy audit and control requirements. - May 2010: Maurice Thompson has joined Login to replace Laurent Piche, as the Login representative in Miami. He will support the American clients in their everyday use of Acumen (Laurent will return to Login Paris offices). After several years at CIBC, Jamaica, he then joined FCIB (First Caribbean International Bank, Jamaica) in 2002. He worked in the Liquidity Management, and Treasury Middle Office departments, first as an officer and then a manager. He also played an important role in the Acumen/Flexcube implementation at FCIB (specs, testing, training).
- April 2010: ACUMEN release 7.50 is now available for use by clients. This new release contains many different features in terms of Deal Capture, Risk Management, Back Office and Technical aspects. - March 2010: Implementation of Acumen has started for SKYE BANK in Lagos, Nigeria. Acumen of LOGIN and Flexcube of OFSS will be used STP, for FX, MM and securities. On this project, LOGIN consultants are working alongside consultants from Finance Application Systems Limited (FASYL), a Nigerian company which is primarily geared towards providing support services for finance software systems such as Flexcube. Acumen will cover their full treasury front office requirements, while Flexcube will handle the back office part of operations. Go live is planned end of 2010.
- February 2010: Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has successfully implemented Login-Acumen and AcumeNet systems for its Treasury Management System. Acumen is used by the Bank to handle the front office and risk management parts of FX, MM deals and securities. AcumeNet handles the order management part. DTB uses Acumen and AcumeNet in its headquarters in Kenya. It is planned to have the solutions deployed as well in Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi in the near future.
- January 2010: IDB Bank has started the implementation of ACUMEN for its treasury operations in the UK. This is part of a common deal with Flexcube of OFSS to deliver corporate, retail and private banking services from a single platform.
- November 2009: Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has selected Acumen for its Treasury Management System. It will be used by the Bank to handle the front office and risk management parts for FX, MM deals and securities. Acumen will be running along with Oracle FSS Flexcube system, currently used at DTB for the treasury back office. DTB is located in Kenya as well as in Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi.
- October 2009: LOGIN and it's partner OFSS (Oracle Financial Solutions Services, former i-flex) are continuously enhancing the interfaces between their two systems Acumen and Flexcube to ease STP. A new Java application server is now used to transfer the XML streams from Acumen to Flexcube and vice versa. This new technology provides a more modern, more secure transfer tool. Both companies also work on increasing deal coverage: in addition to previously existing FX, MM and security deals (including static data), a complete set of derivatives is now managed through the interfaces: Swaps, options, FRAs and also futures are fully managed, with deal information transfers both ways in real time, and Present Value or price upload from Acumen to Flexcube. This complete and reliable STP serving all types of instruments is available only for the sites running Flexcube release 10.
- September 2009: It is with great sadness that Login announces the very unexpected death of Yan Hiff on September 29. Yan was a member of our implementation and development team for the last ten years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
- July 2009: ACUMEN release 7.30 is now available for use by clients. It is running live in one client site. This new release contains many different features in terms of Deal Capture, Risk Management and Back Office. Click on the link on the home page to read more about the new release.
- April 2009: A new set of structured products can be valued using the Acumen-NumeriX solution: the features of the new Acumen and NumeriX releases include support for inflation-linked products using the Jarrow-Yildirim model; extended support of equity-linked notes (basket performance type); and several miscellaneous features for interest rate and FX structured products. The Acumen-NumeriX solution is live at two client sites.
- February 2009: The LOGIN web site has been completely updated, with mainly graphical enhancements (note the Paris La Défense skyline on top, and the Miami skyline on the bottom). New features will come in a later version. So enjoy surfing and please tell us what you think about it!
2008 archives
- December 2008: INTERBANK, a leading commercial bank in Peru, has implemented Login ACUMEN and FLEXCUBE from Oracle Financial Solutions Services. The solution delivers front, middle and back office functions for the client. Go-live was end of 2008 with FX and MM products. Phase 2 for derivative products is planned Q1 2009. One more project on schedule, and a satisfied customer!
- November 2008: Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), AAA rated, Finland, has gone live with its interface from Acumen to its new Treasury Back-office system. Login provided consulting services, customisation and interfaces development to help NIB achieve straight-through automation to the back-office for all deals including complex structures.
- October 2008: The Client Support Department of LOGIN counts a new member: Anastassia Lonkevitch. She holds a Master in Finance from the Quebec University, Canada. She speaks french, english and russian, so when you reach her at the hot-line, you can choose your language when speaking to "Nastia"!
- September 2008: Login was present at the SIBOS 2008 conference and exhibition in Vienna, Austria. We presented our common treasury solution with Oracle Financial Solutions Services (previously known as i-flex).
- June 2008: Created in 1988, LOGIN celebrates it 20th Birthday this year! LOGIN created the event by sending to its main clients a magnum of Champagne to drink together, but through the web... So Marc, Patrick and Arielle, the member founders of the company, invited all to participate in a Champagne cyber party, on 26/06/08. Many attended, either looking at the complete staff of LOGIN celebrating the event, or calling during that event, or even chatting. - April 2008: Implementation of Acumen has started for Interbank in Peru. Go live is planned end of this year. Acumen of LOGIN and Flexcube of i-flex will be used STP, for all products, from basic FX and MM to derivatives. Acumen will cover their full treasury front office requirements, while Flexcube will handle the back office part of operations.
- March 2008: LOGIN has started a project with the Computational Physics Laboratory (CPL) of the EPF school (a French engineering school). CPL has developed a modelling software able to perform, in real time precise and realistic numerical simulations of financial activities in order to obtain financial indicators, levels of risk and estimations of evolution scenarios. The goal of the partnership is to develop and integrate into ACUMEN three new functions: market data analysis, Monte-Carlo VaR calculation, and the analysis of portfolio evolution.
2007 archives
- November 2007: Municipality Finance, Helsinki, is now also using the Numerix tool to price its exotic deals in Acumen. Models developed by Numerix are called by Acumen APIs to show the deal's value directly in Acumen. It concerns interest rate and exchange rate related exotic deals such as PRDC, Trigger, TARN, Snowblade, etc. As a reminder, Nordic Investment Banks uses the same tool for the same purpose.
- October 2007: To ensure quality of service to the new customers of the Caribbean and in South America, LOGIN has decided to open a regional office in MIAMI, Florida. Laurent PICHE, an experienced consultant with LOGIN for the past 10 years, is now in charge of assisting new ACUMEN sites in this area.
- August 2007: Login hired Ashley Cereze as a new IT member: she is specialised in SQL language and interfaces management. She will participate in the many interfacing projects under way in Login for our various clients.
- July 2007: a new Go-live for Acumen at FCIB, First Caribbean International Bank, in Barbados and Curacao. This is the main site where Acumen of LOGIN and Flexcube of i-flex are running STP, for all products, from basic FX and MM to derivatives, including order management. Acumen covers their full treasury front office needs, while Flexcube handles the back office part of operations.
- April 2007: the Client Support department welcomes a new member: Amrane Sahraoui has started his new job at LOGIN as an implementation consultant. He holds a degree in Stochastic Modelisation. He has gone through an in depth Acumen training and will start visiting clients soon.
- February 2007: NIB (Nordic Investment Bank, Helsinki), is using the Numerix tool to price its exotic deals. Models developped by Numerix are linked to Acumen via APIs developed specifically by LOGIN, allowing to show directly in Acumen the value of the options or the package. - November 2006: Login is proud to announce the Go-live of Acumen at SanPaolo Luxemburg. Login consultants assisted the client to fine tune the application and assist the users in their everyday use of Acumen, for Front, Back, and Risk Control purposes for Treasury operations.
- October 2006: creation of Acumen release 6.90, available for use by clients (and installed in test in one client site). This new release contains mainly order management facilities and complete portfolio limits monitoring.
- September 2006: registration of 26 clients and 5 partners at our 9th LOGIN Seminar. Our user meeting is as popular as ever! Maybe it is due to the interest of our clients in seeing our soon to come web version of Acumen: AcumeNet.
- August 2006: Implementation of Acumen has started for FCIB, First Caribbean International Bank. Go live is planned beginning of next year.
- July 2006: Login receives the order of a great number of Back Office and Accounting interfaces from Acumen. The request comes from a german client who wishes to be delivered with its 6.90 release in October.
- June 2006: Login hires Ronan Boissy as new software developer dedicated to AcumeNet, our new Acumen thin client release.
